Mike has a multifaceted attorney practice with a vast amount of experience in business transactions and complex negotiations. He provides strategic legal guidance across a wide range of industries, including corporate law, technology transactions, intellectual property, labor/employment issues, social media agreements, real estate, as well as sports and entertainment law.
Licensed in both Indiana and Illinois, Mike has several years of experience serving as an attorney consultant and Of Counsel for multiple businesses and individuals, including several pro bono engagements. He understands every client has a unique set of challenges and goals. Thus, he prides himself on taking a tailored approach to each matter, crafting specific solutions designed to protect and advance each clients' interests.
Alongside providing legal advice, Mike understood that he would also need an intimate knowledge of the business world. Thus, he studied Economics at Valparaiso University, allowing him to better understand the complexities of the corporate environment. Mike graduated Cum Laude from DePaul University College of Law in 2016 with a business law certificate. During his time in law school, he served as Business Editor of the DePaul Journal of Sports Law.
To further diversify his law school experience, Mike served as a law clerk for the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation, the Ann and Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago, and the DePaul University Office of General Counsel.
Mike easily relates to clients because of his own experiences as a creator and entrepreneur.
Mike has interviewed basketball players nationwide preparing for the NBA Draft, including multiple eventual lottery picks, for his website known as "Scouting the Mid-Majors." He ran the entire operation from his dorm room and worked firsthand with athletes, agents, and college administrators. Navigating the obstacles of being a CEO helped Mike realize his love for helping others achieve their dreams.
